Free ID and developer utilities that run in the browser.
Idwright is the site at ulidtool.net. It is a set of free tools, not a hosted ID service.
What this site is
You can generate, decode and convert ULIDs, and use the other tools listed on the tools page: UUID, NanoID, CUID, Snowflake IDs, API keys, JWT, Base64, hashes, timestamps, database helpers and JSON utilities. Each tool runs in the browser after its page loads. Pasted IDs, tokens and text are not uploaded.
Why ULID
A ULID is 26 Crockford Base32 characters. The first 10 encode a millisecond timestamp, so an ID created later sorts after an earlier one. A random UUID v4 does not carry time. The site started as a ULID generator and the other tools sit beside it.
Privacy
Tool processing stays on your device. Generated values and pasted input are not stored on a server. Theme and generation history stay in localStorage. Google Analytics loads only if you accept the cookie banner. Cloudflare Web Analytics is cookie-less and records page views. The first visit needs a network. A service worker may reuse cached pages later. That is not a promise that every page works with no network. Details are in the privacy policy.
