Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 30, 2026
ULIDTool.net is a 100% client-side developer tool. We take privacy seriously — your data never leaves your browser.
1. What We Collect and Analytics
All core tool processing happens entirely inside your web browser (client-side) using secure APIs. We do not store your generated IDs, code, or tokens on any server. However, we use standard analytics to monitor and optimize website performance:
- Theme preference and configuration: Stored in your browser's
localStoragefor your convenience. - Generation history: Stored locally in your browser, never sent to any server.
- Google Analytics 4 (GA4): If you consent via our banner, Google Analytics is loaded to track page views, feature usage, and overall traffic to help us improve this free tool. You can opt-out at any time.
- Cloudflare Web Analytics: We use privacy-first, cookie-less Cloudflare Web Analytics to measure site performance and visitor numbers without tracking individual users.
2. Cryptographic Randomness
All ULIDs, NanoIDs, and other identifiers are generated using crypto.getRandomValues() — the browser's built-in cryptographic random number generator. Generated values are never logged or stored on any server.
3. Third-party Services
We use a few trusted infrastructure providers to deliver the website:
- Cloudflare Pages: Hosts the static website. Cloudflare may log standard access logs (IP, user agent) as part of CDN operation — see Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
- Buy Me a Coffee: Optional donation link — their privacy policy applies if you click it.
- CDN libraries: Monaco Editor and other JS libraries are loaded from public CDNs. No personal data is shared.
4. localStorage Data
You can clear all locally stored data at any time:
- Open browser DevTools → Application → Local Storage → Clear
- Or clear your browser's site data for ulidtool.net
5. Children's Privacy
This service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any data from children.
6. Changes to This Policy
If we add advertising, changing analytics, or change data practices, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date prominently before making any changes.
